# CoHost

## CoHost Assignment

The Publisher can elevate any **currently online viewer** to Co-Host status during a live conference session. This enables distributed moderation and gives trusted participants administrative control without ending or transferring the session.

> **Note:** Host privileges can only be assigned to viewers who are **online at the time** of assignment. Offline participants are not eligible until they join the session.

### Constraints & Behavior

* Only the **Publisher** can assign or revoke host privileges — Co-Hosts cannot elevate other viewers.
* Host privileges are available to co-host unless Publisher revokes it.
* The Publisher retains all Co-Host capabilities at all times.
* The **Assign CoHost** option is only visible for viewers listed under the **Added** tab who are currently online.
